Pank is my Signatuh Coluh
I've had this problem with my kitchen sink for a loooong time. I wanted to get it fixed, but at first I just didn't have the money. Then, when I did have the money, I was too embarrassed by the grossness of my kitchen to have anyone come over and fix it. So I got into this terrible cycle of wanting it fixed, but wanting it cleaned first, and not being able to clean it because I had no use of my kitchen sink. There was like, exponential grossness all up in my kitchen.
Finally, I did what any sane person would do. I just stopped going in there unless I had to. That's what adults do, right? They just ignore the problem!
Friday, I was at work, and I got this singing voicemail from Jaimie's dad (aka Papa Pickle).
~Happy Birthday to you,
Your kitchen sink's fixed
Happy Birthday to you,
You son of a bitch~
I called him immediately and he confirmed that yes, he did fix my kitchen sink, with help from his daughter. When I asked him who let him in the house, he told me it was Leslie & Scottie.
(Now is a good time to mention that Leslie and I had a ridiculous knock-down, drag-out fight the night before.)
Not only that, Les & Scottie took all the nasty dishes (NASTY) out of my kitchen, and scrubbed them for me. Then they brought them all back, wiped the shelves down (dusty from lack of use), and neatly put the dishes away. By the time I got home Friday night from my laundry shenanigans, my kitchen was a new place. A place where I could cook, clean, and open the drawer and find clean silverware.
Every time I think about it, I get verklempt. I don't know of anybody that's as blessed as me when it comes to the friend department. I can only say "Thank You", and that seems like such a little thing compared to how incredible you guys made me feel.
I love you guys.

Saturday laundry day got changed to "Chinese Food & Mani-Pedi Day" yesterday in honor of my upcoming birthday. Angie, Sheree, Dana, and Anna (Angie's little sister, and of course I get to claim her as mine too, since I've known her since before her 1st birthday.. and she's pregnant. I'm so OLD!) took me to get our nails did at the Quik Nails in East GadVegas.
I haven't gotten my nails done since I lived in Reno, so it was a special girly treat. I was pretty nervous about it, because strangers would be touching me, but it ended up being so much fun. I got a french manicure & gel tips. The owner added a little rhinestone design at my request on my ring fingernails for a little added nail bling. The pedicure, though.... ooooohh y'all.
Big comfy chairs with massaging backs, jacuzzi foot spas, and I swear my feet haven't been this pretty in..... well, ever. I picked electric blue toenail polish and she added a little rhinestone on my big toes.
I am *so* bling-bling-pinkie-ring.

When I got home, I had a package from my friend Kellie. It was a book of poetry. I was so excited!
It's turning into the girliest birthday ever.
I love it!
And it's not even my birthday yet!
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~
I LOVE MY FRIENDS!
~
