Ohhhh.. so THIS is Sparta...

Last night at Girl's Night, Laura said she read an internet poll about the most-quoted movies. #1 was "This is Sparta!"

We thought that had to be wrong. Because, how often can you really fit that into a conversation? I mean, who walks around saying "This is Sparta!"

Well, I mean.. now WE do, because Laura brought it up. But before she did? Never once.

One of the things I love about the Fleegans is the perfection of a joke. Take, for instance, the night we had deer balls at Mike's house. Do you know how many jokes were made about Mike making deer balls? And how tasty they were? And how we didn't think we'd like Mike's balls, but turns out they taste WAY better than we thought?

The joke, like a constant ribbon, weaves through our conversations. Finally, one person will find the perfect moment to make a joke and it will slay the entire room. If it's you, it's a really good feeling. It's like the "Joke of the Night Olympics" and you just got the gold medal.

Last night I said I couldn't wait until someone found the perfect time to interject "This is Sparta!", thereby killing the rest of us with humor. We started thinking of ways we could use it in the future to make each other laugh. And it made us laugh.

We were laughing at jokes we hadn't even gotten to make yet. We were laughing in preperation of how hilarious we WILL BE ONE DAY.

That is why I love my friends.
