Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice

It's not often that I turn into a total girl. For the most part, I'm fairly sarcastic, pretend-tough, and silly. But today I turned into a total girl over a frog.

Misty and I were walking outside and I saw the tee-tiniest little frog. I stepped over him and when I did, he hopped. I screamed like a little girl.

We stood there watching the frog and Celeste came outside to smoke with us. He kept hopping at the window trying to get in, so we all stood around and watched him.

Me: He wants in!
Misty: He does.
Celeste: We should pick him up and move him. Maybe over to the Chinese restaurant over there. Ha!
Me: Hey, can you just deep fry this for us right quick? Thanks.
Frog: *hops to the door*
Me: He does want in! He's like "I need a house, suckas!"
Misty: If someone opens that door he's gonna get squished.
Me: Oh nos! We have to stand by the door, so no one will open it.

So Misty & Celeste start talking about something else while I stand there and watch the frog and worry about him.

Me: What if someone opens the door?!!?!
Celeste: Poke him with your foot and nudge him a little.
Me: I can't.
Celeste: Why?
Me: Because I'll poke him and then he'll hop and I'll scream again. Once was enough.
Misty: *saves the day by nudging frog away from the door*
Me: YAY!

The frog continues to try to jump up the glass, which is really cute to watch.

Me: He heard we were hiring. He's like "Give me a job!"
Celeste: Must've read it in the paper.
Me: If I was less of a girl I'd pick it up and carry it in to cause a ruckus.
Celeste: *to frog* Sorry fella, I'd pick you up but I don't want warts!
Frog: *tries to hop up the glass*

So we all go in, and I go straight to Jenny's office where I announce there is a frog. So Jenny, Misty and I go back outside. We watch the frog and discuss him. Then Mike sees us all standing there and comes outside to see what we're doing. The frog continues his futile attempts to hop through the glass.

Me: There's a frog! *points* He wants a job!
Mike: Well look at that.
Jenny: *to Mike* Please move him.
Mike: I'm not picking him up.
Jenny: My office is the first one he'll get to if he gets in!
Mike: He doesn't want in.
Me: I think he does.
Misty: *starts actually trying to talk to Mike about WORK. Yeah, I know.*
Jenny: Mike, please move the frog.
Mike: It'll be fine. *continues to talk to Misty*
Jenny: *stomps towards the frog*
Me: *starts laughing*
Jenny: *picks up something small on the ground and tosses it towards the frog, which misses him by about 47 miles*
Me: *dies*
Mike: *leaves the office*
Jenny: We need to move him.
Misty: We could move him out back.
Me: I could interrupt Tony's meeting and say "We have a serious issue. There is a frog trying to get in."
Celeste: *comes outside* Are we still looking at the frog?
All: Yes.

First of all, I love Fridays at work. I love WORK. I love my co-workers. I mean, it was a frog and we were all so easily amused and distracted by it.

I still think it wants a job. I'm going to see if I can hire it as my assistant.
