A Clever Title
On Saturday I did something I never do anymore. I stayed home.
Not only did I stay home? I deep conditioned my hair. I shaved my legs. I trimmed my toenails. And I watched "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet.
I know! I'm SUCH a girl!
Whenever people ask me who my favorite actress is, I always go blank. I say "Sharon Stone". I don't know why, either. I just FORGET that I freaking LOVE Kate Winslet. Isn't she great? Don't you just want to go to her house and have tea or something?
I bought the movie on PPV. All the movies on PPV that I buy are guilty pleasures. I'm at home, I don't want to go anywhere, but I want to be amused, damnit! I buy stuff like:
The Holiday
Superman Returns
Pulse
The Fog
Employee of the Month
I don't even buy any porn, like an interesting person would. I mean, really! Employee of the MONTH??? That was SUCH a cry for help!
My point is, eventually I arrive at it, is that The Holiday was really good. So good that since PPV gives you an all-day pass.. I totally watched it again. I'm not big on Chick Flicks. I mean, I'll watch Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but I'm not going to buy it or anything. I will buy The Holiday, though, and I refuse to be ashamed.
It made me cry, but I think I must've really needed to cry, because I felt great afterwards. And oh, I didn't just cry at the end like a normal person? No, no.. I cried like, 7 different times. About half of those times I started laughing at myself for crying, but that kinda just made the crying worse, which just made me laugh at myself more.
Catharsis achieved, though.
On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day because my dad won't be here next weekend. We went to see Mr. Brooks, which I actually enjoyed a lot, even though it has Kevin Costner in it.
And Dane Cook. WHO was casting that day? Were they smoking CRACK? He actually didn't ruin the movie. Go figure.
Then we went to Top O' the River where I amused my father to no end with some of the things I said.
Apparently, I'm a pistol.

Have I ever told you about my deep, deep love for Kate Winslet? Oh, yeah, I think I have once or 30 times.
