Mr. Mojo, Self-Risin

Okay, so I got a dog. A puppy, actually. I must've been smoking crack that day, because I have zero idea why I thought a puppy was a good idea.

Here's the thing.... I'm really selfish. I like to do what I want to do, when I want to do it. You can't really do that when you have a puppy. Nobody told me that it was like having a baby until AFTER I'd gotten it.

Hi. This information would've been better beforehand.

God, the poop. I'm constantly thinking of his poop. Will he poop? Does he need to poop? Is he squatting to poop? How long until he has to poop again?

And I talk about him all the time. I can't stop! I'm like one of those annoying people who show you pictures of their grandchildren.

To answer all the questions people ask:

I'm crate training.
It's going pretty good, actually.

He'll be 6 weeks tomorrow.

He gets his first shots tomorrow.

And neutered.
Yes, neutered.
At six weeks.
Yeah! I know, but the vet said it was okay.
Apparently it's a thing.
Yeah, I didn't know they did it that young, either.

I adopted him at the Rainbow City Animal Clinic next to Central Valley on 77.

His dad is a Mini-Dauchsund

His mom is a Peekapoo

Nope, he's not a Rottweiller.

Yes, he does look like one.

His name is Mojo.

See, we were at work, and one of the ladies said he worked his puppy mojo on me, and I really like this song, Punk Rock Girl by the Dead Milkmen? And one of my favorite parts goes:

We went to a shopping mall
And laughed at all the shoppers
And security guards trailed us to a record shop
We asked for Mojo Nixon
They said he don't work here
We said if you don't got Mojo Nixon
then your store could use some fixin

Mojo Nixon is that guy that sang "Elvis Is Everywhere". You remember that guy, right?

Anyway, it just seemed to fit. Plus, I love to sing "Mr. Mo-jo RI-SIN" to him.
