The Clouds Part

I have PMS, so I keep crying for no reason. Well, I have reasons, but I need to get over myself. Also, I publically flog myself for complaining how it was hot in my air conditioned office when Alex (and many others) have to work outside all day in the heat.

The good news:

I talked to this woman today about her bid, which she was trying to raise last night, but she couldn't get her computer to cooperate. She exclaimed "I tried all night and I couldn't get it up!" (Her name was Esther. I tell you this because somehow, for me, it made it funnier.)

Yesterday as my co-workers came by my desk (my window is the easily accessible one so everyone comes to see me when it's raining) I started talking to Lynne about my air conditioners. She told me to check the air filter on the one that was seeping air, that it was probably just dirty.

Duh, Cookie. Math is hard. Why didn't you think of this days ago?

I went home and finally figured out how to get the front of it off, and yes, dirty. So very dirty that I couldn't even begin to clean it so I eventually gave up and threw it away. Air started blowing out! OH MY LAWD! I set it on low and turned the dial down from 12 to 9 to let it run while I was gone to Angie's.

I was able to wear clothes in my house last night! I was forced to cover up with a sheet *and* a blanket. I left it on low all last night and this morning it was actually cold in my bedroom.

I came home for lunch? Still cold, my bitches.

Me happy.

Oh, please replace the filter soon! You're coating your unprotected coil with dirt, which is a major pain to clean.
