Movie Candy

I was trying to think of more movies I was ashamed of so that we could all just admit that we're not as cool as we hope people think we are. We are all lame. Unless it's just me, and in that case, let me believe I'm not alone. Thanks.

I sat here thinking of movies, and I kept thinking that I'm not so much deeply ashamed of these movies as I am reluctant to admit that I like them. Why? Because they really don't offer any depth. They're kind of shallow and you see where the plot is going right away. Even though you know you should devote your time to something better for you, you can't help but watch them if they are on. Kind of like candy!

So here is another movie that I love.

The Craft
Teen witches. Do I need to say anything else in my defense? Cause I think that's enough. I first saw this movie back in the day and was completely stoned out of my mind when I saw it. I don't know if that is why I've always been so easily amused by it or if it's really just kinda good. I saw Robin Tunney in another movie (the one that isn't The Craft) while I was flipping channels on Saturday. I thought "God I haven't seen The Craft in a long time. I wish I had that on DVD, I'd watch it."

I love that movie, with the love spell gone bad. And look, there are snakes! And Skeet Ulrich!

That night, I flipped through the Directv guide and what was on USA? Was it The Craft, starring Fairuza Balk and Neve Campbell?

IT WAS! Dude I am SO a teen witch. I called that movie forth. I was all "Hail to the guardians of the watchtower of the North, power of mother and earth!" and then this glass jar broke and my cats beached themselves on my front porch.
