What Did Jenna Tell Ya?
My 30th birthday was way fun, thanks to my friends and family, who are great. I think maybe my favorite part was Angie taking the birthday bullet for me. For those of you that have not been to El Tap, they bring you birthday .. flan? What *was* that? Anyway, they also sing to you and make you wear a giant sombrero and give you a plastic guitar. I told my friends that I did *not* want to suffer through this.
So, they made Angie do it.
When they came in ready to sing and I saw that sombrero, my first thought was "Those dirty bitches.." and then I turn to Angie and she just says "I love you." and then a giant sombrero was placed ever-so-gently on her head and they handed her the plastic Corona guitar, and we all laughed at her. Really, really hard.
Then we all went to the Duplii, and there were presents, and margaritas, Roxy Rock Star, mentos & diet coke shenanigans, juggling, New Kids on the Block talk, and I'm pretty sure I said something embarrassing about AnalEase. I'll thank you not to remind me of the exact wording.
But thank you to Kris, Laura, Liz & Chris for the party, and to everyone who came because that was rad. And to Jaimie for making that "Alaska" joke which I'm still laughing about.

dood! i had SO MUCH FUN. and Roxy wanted me to tell you that she had fun worrying the cats. are we watching your New Kids tape?
We are comedic GENIUSES, are we not? I kinda thought it'd be funny with the singing thing, but you know how sometimes ideas are only funny to you? But I mentioned it to Liz and she was like "oh, we HAVE to do that!"
Angie was a complete star when we asked, cause you know she didn't want to but I mean, the funny? Was so there and she knew she had no choice but to comply.
We made Chris ask the waiter. He didn't want to, but Liz used her feminine wiles to force him into it. I mean, is he not the perfect candidate for such an endeavor? He didn't even leave the table to ask, he did it right there and I didn't even see him and I was across from him! So sneaky.
And then, oh, then... man, the look on your face was exactly perfect. "Oh, she's pissed! And now she realizes and here's the laughing!"
What we couldn't plan was that Angie was on the right side of you so that they had to pass you to put the sombrero on her. And that Jaimie wasn't in on it so she reacted the way you did.
Oh, hilarity. Can you tell that was my favorite part of the evening, too?

Just thinking about it makes me laugh really hard. Angie is the BEST. The look on her face was so hysterical. She was like "Shit."
For the rest of my life, she will bring that up when she needs me to do something for her. And everytime she does, I know I will laugh.
Dude, we are *totally* watching New Kids. ~step by step ooh bay-bah~
Also, I'm making dessert. It is the best dessert ever.
