Family Dinner

There is much to blog, as wherever I go amusing things happen that I can report. Only, I just got home from Suzie's house for dinner. We hang out in the kitchen alot when I'm there, I keep her company while she cooks, I help her clean, I judge her beverage choices in the fridge. You know, sister things. (okay but REALLY, she's got TAB in her fridge. TAB! Where'd you buy that, 1982?)

Tonight she made dinner, watched part of Top Gun, I helped her clean and get a roast ready to cook for tomorrow night. Normal things. Only, we're not so much normal. It started almost as soon as I got there. She's got a long narrow kitchen so you're constantly in each other's way. Usually she just just yells her shorthand for "move" which is a very angry "Moo!" Tonight? She rapped.

~move bitch get out the way, get out the way bitch, get out the way~

Now, both of us have been known to make up songs and sing them, so I really didn't think much of it. But then she asked me:

Have you heard that?
Heard what?
That rap song. ~move bitch, get out the-
That's a SONG?!
Yeah!
Are you serious?
Yeah, he even says "guard ya grill"
Guard your grill?
Yeah
What does that even mean?

So, we're in the kitchen hanging out for a long time, and every time I get in her way, she sings that song. Or if I'm not in her way. Or if nothing is in her way. She just keeps singing it.

Then *I* start singing it, and I've never even heard it. Both of us, all night, in the kitchen. Then I got home and downloaded it.

So for anyone that really wants to have dinner with Suzie and I, the video below is going to be mandatory viewing.
