Now With 20% More Intrigue

Dana and Celeste made me sound interesting today. I walked into Dana's office this afternoon, and she said "So what's up with all these men in everyone's office?" I said "I don't know, are there men in offices that I'm not aware of?" She points out there is a man in Jenny's office (her husband) and a man in Sara's office (some dude). Then she looks pointedly at me and says "And YOU'VE had TWO men in your office today. Celeste and I want to know what's going on."

Doesn't that make me sound so scandalous? I didn't have one. I had two. Two strange men. In my office. (and it's obvious to me now that we just don't get that many visitors in our office)

They really weren't strange. Okay, well Danny is, but that's Patti's problem. (hee, I love you guys). I don't think Danny picking up his wife's Pampered Chef really counts as a "man in my office". But if it makes me seem that intriguing then I'm all for it. Cause, I'm just so rarely mistaken for a hootchie.

The other guy in my office was Larry. He's a guy I met in a real estate workshop. I don't know if he remembered I worked there, or it was a coincidence, but he came to talk to Mike today about a job. He stopped by my office when he left, and we talked for a little while. He's pretty awesome and funny. And? He's totally gonna bring me the notes he used to study from, as he just passed the real estate exam. Word!

I talked to my favorite client today. I called him to give him some information, but paused to ask if he had a pen first. He said "Naw, I'm takin a buggy ride through Krakow, and I ain't got a pen handy." That's Krakow, Poland, for those of us that don't know geography, and it was at that point that I realized the background noise I was hearing was the clop-clop-clopping of horse hooves. (horse's hooves... horses hooves? horses' hoof..s? fuck it)

I forgave him for not having a pen, and wondered how I got lucky enough to know such interesting people.

I got to have dinner with Kris, Laura and Ben tonight. I rarely get to hang out with just the Catoes'es, and it was really cool. Ben was chillin in the baby hot tub (aka, the sink) when I got there. He can't talk yet, but I swear I looked into his eyes, and I could almost hear him saying to me, "What's up, dawg??"

And I was like "Nothin, mang."

Then they made fajitas! And we watched The Closer! It really is kinda cool. I think I'm gonna actually try to remember to watch it.

It's sad when I can't even really commit to watching a TV show.

The Closer's one of my favorite current shows. I love Kyra Sedgwick.
