Oh, Girls

I got to have lunch today with some of my favorite rowdy girls. Luckily, when we got to the restaurant, the church crowd was already gone, because they would've been scandalized by our table. We were opening up our fortune cookies, and reading them to each other. I told them to add "in bed" to the end of the fortunes. Because, you know, it's just always funny.

Mine read "The current year will bring your much happiness" In bed!

I said "That probably just means I'll be able to afford a new mattress."

I'll just wait here while you laugh at that incredibly witty joke.

Later on, Bridget kept saying something about a "partner". I was only halfway listening, but I finally asked:

Me: What partner?

Bridget: You know, my partner.

Me: *blank stare*

Bridget: My "partner"!

Me: *blank stare*

Bridget: My "partner in crime"!

*beat*

Bridget: In bed!


I love that girl.
