More Murphy

I took this with my phone the day it snowed while we were in Virginia. I'd taken him outside in the backyard but he was having NONE of that. I had to put him on a leash and take him walking. He liked the snow.

I took this one the night we came home. It was the first night back in my own bed. Doesn't he look peaceful? He was so tired from driving.

This morning I was lurching down the street with Murphy for our morning zombie walk, and we ran into Claudette & J.D. While we were chatting, I saw a terrier (a silky terrier, thank you AKC Dog Show) run around the corner. I asked her who he belonged to, because she knows that sort of thing. She told me all about the terrier (he can get out of the fence, and his owners just let him run around willy-nilly, and they had another terrier that had this big tumor on it's back, so it couldn't fit under the fence), and then said that her brother-in-law's daughter had a little terrier, too.

C: She was so proud. She said her daddy paid $800 for that dog. I tell you, I wouldn't give 50 cents for it.

Me: Hee hee hee hee hee

C: That dog won't let nobody touch it except her & her brother. Plus, he won't even ride in the car. He's got .... whatsit called.. some kinda hyperactive something.

Me: Hee hee hee hee hee hee

C: She said if he could, he'd grab onto the sun visor with his teeth and just swang from it while she was drivin.

Me: Hee hee hee hee hee

That's pretty much every conversation with Claudette. She says funny things and I just giggle. Then we talk about what a good dog J.D. is.

He is, though
