Update
It's not like I haven't had anything to blog, it's just that I don't really have that much time to blog. It seems like I'm never home until I've either exhausted myself completely and want to hibernate in bed, or I'm sick. And at work, there is no time to blog, read blogs, or even really check my personal email. (I know! It's like they want me to WORK!)
Work:
My co-workers are the funniest, kindest people. I know... I know. When will I blog about work woes? I dunno! There like.. aren't that many. It's really busy, and very stressful because I'm training someone to be a 2nd me. It's way, way, way more work than I thought it would be, because everything takes so long. However, she's really effing smart and capable. I was sick yesterday, and she did such a good job in my absence. She like, did things on her own without being told. I was so proud it borders on sad. I clapped and everything. And my supervisor is really proud of me because I'm doing a good job training.
The best thing about Cookie 2 is that she's so hilarious it's sick. We have the same kind of sense of humor, and we hit it off from day one. Not a day has gone by where we haven't laughed so hard we wheezed. I almost made her pee her pants today. It made me feel quite humorous.
Me talking about my job/co-workers is like one of those sick couples you see who are all "I love YOU more.. no.. I love YOU more.. " and you just gag. Isn't it? Just tell me. I know. I'm a lucky bitch.
Health:
I've got the flu. It sucks. I'm blaming everyone who sniffles for giving me Captain Tripps.
Hobbies:
Knitting is still fun. Jaimie has made like 40 scarves, and Liz is working on knitting the Last Supper or some shit like that. I'm? Yeah, well I'm working on a pot holder.
Before we laugh, let's just remember that a scarf isn't going to save you from burning your hands when you bake delicious cookies for your loving family and friends this holiday season.
I'm saving LIVES, by God.
Of course, by the time I finish it, you'll be baking cookies for your family and friends NEXT holiday season. Averaging 2 rows a day is good, right?
That's progress.
Friends:
All my friends are hilarious bitches. Still. Yeah, I know.
Angie is doing much better. She's lost 35 pounds and she has ankles again, which is very exciting. You're supposed to glow when you're pregnant, but I saw her the other day, and she looked so pretty. Maybe it's just the happy. She's a little sore from the C-section, but the doc has given her the okay to do normal things again. Ummm what else? Oh, she still cries at the drop of a hat when she's watching TV, but she doesn't seem to be in the grip of any serious postpartum. And to tell you the truth, she's always cried at TV. I mean, remember that show Life Goes On? You know, with Corky? Yeah.. her mom wouldn't allow her to watch it. Because she'd cry. (like.. every TIME)
(Once? She called me SOBBING. I mean, the girl was crying so hard I thought someone died. They weren't, they were dying. She made me turn on the tv to watch with her over the phone. It was Megan, on One Life to Live. Jake carried her from her hospital bed to look at the tree outside her window. The one they'd planted on their wedding day? Oh yeah.. just ask her about it. I bet you 5 bucks she tears up at the very mention and says something like "But he LOVED her!!" Is that fucking endearing or what?)
Babies:
Miss Lyla is already more adorable than ever. She's two weeks old today. I saw her on Saturday. She slept on me. It's always an honor to me if a child falls asleep on me. It's like God's way of saying maybe you aren't so bad after all.
