I Might Actually Be Early for Work Tomorrow

I have recently been watching The Office a lot on DVD. On a recent episode, they go through all the pranks that Jim has pulled on Dwight. One of which was "He replaced all my pens and pencils with crayons."

This? Made me laugh. So, I was at the grocery store, and I walked by the school supplies and saw crayons. I bought them. They've been in my purse for days, waiting for Dana to be away from her desk long enough. Only, Dana and I are together ALL THE TIME. Plus, she'd know it was me right away.

But today? Misty is out because her sister is having a baby.

We've had a VERY STRESSFUL few days in the office. I heard Dana in the office beside me sighing and sounding irritated. I called her to come over, and I'm like "I think I have something to cheer us up." Dana was totally on board, just like you knew she would be.

We went to everyone in the Contracts Dept. to let them know what we were doing. That was almost the most fun part, because they all started laughing. They ended up in there with us, helping us find all the places Misty keeps pens. (dude, she has a LOT)

Mike stopped me in the hall on the way back to my office, to ask if I was stealing office supplies. I said "No, we just replaced all Misty's pens and pencils with crayons." He didn't even bat an eyelash. He just said "Well that's what she gets for being out today. What kind of excuse is "My sister is having a baby" anyway?"

I know I say this all the time..... but I so dearly love my co-workers.

I can't WAIT until Misty gets to work tomorrow.
